Director of Nursing
Key Responsibilities :
- Vigilantly oversee care delivery to ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and regulations, conducting random competency assessments for nursing staff as per schedule.
- Ensure the Nursing Department operates in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Oversee and / or complete mandated reporting and incident investigations in collaboration with the Executive Director.
- Proactively monitor nursing equipment and inventory to maintain availability and functionality suitable for our resident population.
Optimize resource utilization, minimizing waste, and execute duties with a keen eye on the department's and organization's financial well-being.
Regularly review monthly financial statements to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience in a Nursing Home Setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in the nursing process, assessment, theory, and practice, along with a comprehensive understanding of the organization's procedures and policies.
- Preferred experience in nursing home management or leadership roles.
Education :
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with either an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- A minimum of five years of clinical experience is required.
