LPN Behavioral Health Nurse (NIGHT SHIFT)\n\nMasonicare Health Center – Wallingford, CT\n\nNight Shift / 32hrs / wk / EOW\n\nCOMPENSATION : Masonicare has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are\n\npaid within the salary range relative to your experience. The pay range for this position is $35 - $51 an hour.\n\nThis role will work on a 43 bed Behavioral Health Hospital Unit\n\nUnder the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager, an RN Registered Nurse or LPN Licensed Practical Nurse at the Masonicare Health Center is responsible for providing professional nursing care for assigned patients. Manages charge responsibility of nursing unit and assumes responsibility for the delivery of care to all residents on the unit. Practices Evidence-Based nursing.\n\nNurse - Essential Duties and Responsibilities : \n\n1. Assumes the professional responsibility and accountability for a group of residents / patients including : \n\na. Medication / Treatment Administration\n\nb. Teaching\n\nc. Supervision of all nursing staff to assure implementation\n\nof the interdisciplinary care plan.\n\n2. Performs ongoing and systematic assessments utilizing the nursing process to establish a comprehensive goal directed interdisciplinary plan.\n\n3. Communicates and collaborates effectively with residents / patients, families, colleagues and other members of the interdisciplinary team to assure that treatment is appropriate to meet the age, needs and abilities of resident / patient and unit needs.\n

• Documents accurate, pertinent and comprehensive information in a timely and concise manner as required by regulation & facility policy & procedure.\n\n5. Supervises the care provided by CNAs & LPNs assuring adherence to the plan of care, resident profile, policies and procedures.\n\n6. Participates in educational programs, inservices, meetings and workshops and utilizes current literature to enhance professional skills and knowledge. Attends all annual mandatory programs.\n\n7. Participates in quality improvement activities as directed\n
• Follows standards of the Diligent Minimal Lift Program\n\n9. Performs other duties as required.\n\nMinimum Qualifications : \n\nEducation : Associates Degree / Diploma Program, Graduate of accredited school of nursing\n\nExperience : 1-2 years nursing experience in clinical setting preferred. New Grads may be considered. Previous LPN or CNA experience is a plus.\n\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations : \n\nCurrent RN license\n\nKey Competencies : Ability to work as part of a team and to manage multiple priorities; to speak, read and write English in order to communicate with patients, residents and clinical staff; to effectively interact with residents and staff; organized; ability to utilize a personal computer / CRT to input and retrieve patient information; and familiarity with the Care Plan Development.\n\n#lpnbehavioralhealth
