Sets up equipment, operate various machinery, oversee optimization of efficiency, maintain machines and perform quality checks which may include running punch presses for socket / wrench and stamping / marking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set-up and operate machine to either mark or stamp all round work according to blueprint or specifications.
- Changes drive wheel when needed, operates crane, and transports parts.
- Sets up and operates power driven punch presses that pierce open end and box end forgings according to work specification.
- Set up and operate power-driven presses that form socket blanks of various sizes as specified by work order.
- Sets up and operates several types of drilling machines to perform precision drilling, boring, reaming, facing, milling and taping of operations on diversified close tolerance work to produce parts from blueprints and specification.
Requirements
Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Experience
At least four months to one year of experience is needed in an equivalent occupation.
Specific Skills / Abilities
- Must know how to read and use blueprints and routings, as well as a gage, caliper, or micrometer.
- Must continually produce quality parts with a very minimal amount of scrap material.
- Must be able to perform set-ups on machines under close to no supervision within 4 to 6 hours.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to use and understand internal software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Physical Activities include : climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing for significant periods of time, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, picking or pinching, grasping, perceive attributes of objects, conveys with other workers, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Physical Requirements heavy work; exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Duties are occasionally performed under conditions such as dust, dirt, heat, cold, and fumes. Duties are frequently performed under noisy conditions.
There is occasional exposure to cuts and abrasions. Observation Acuity standard is the minimum for machine operators; where the inspection of the job is at or within an arm's reach
Benefits :Salary Description
$19.00 to $23.00 per hour
