Job Overview :
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced Payroll & Benefits professional to direct the implementation of payroll and benefits processing, absence management, and wellness initiatives. As the Payroll & Benefits Manager, your responsibilities will include :
- Supervising payroll and benefits staff.
- Assisting agency management staff with payroll, absence management issues, and providing technical assistance.
- Advising payroll and benefits staff on complex Payroll, Disability, FMLA, Health Benefits, and Wellness questions / issues.
- Assisting agency managers and staff with timekeeping issues.
- Managing bi-weekly payroll processing, including system interfacing from Kronos to OAKS.
- Coordinating health and wellness events (e.g. health fairs, flu clinics, biometric screenings).
- Providing oversight of timekeeping and payroll issues and auditing payroll entries to ensure compliance.
- Interpreting human resources policies and rules and providing technical advice regarding Ohio Administrative Code (OAC), Ohio Revised Code (ORC), Federal Rules and Regulations (e.g. ADA, FMLA).

4 yrs. exp. in human resources.
Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration; 24 mos. exp. in human resources which included 12 mos. exp. in supervisory & / or management principles & techniques.Or 12 mos. exp. as Human Capital Management Senior Analyst, 64613.Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.Job Skills : Human Resources
