Semo Milling, LLC has an exciting onsite career opportunity for a Packaging and Bulk Load Out Manager in Scott City, MO.

Job Description

I. Position Purpose

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for providing management, leadership, and training for all packaging and bulk load out operations. This position directs subordinate production personnel to achieve production goals and quality specifications in a safe and sustainable manner.

II. Position Responsibilities and Duties

Performing duties as directed by others to ensure the following duties are managed accurately and timely :

Load Out and Packaging

• Complete oversight and management of packaging, auxiliary packaging, and bulk load out departments.
• Provide machinery expertise for each process equipment item.
• Troubleshoot operational and machinery problems as necessary.
• Coordinate with lab personnel to ensure finished product quality specifications are within guidelines.
• Ensure that all production goals are met and quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Complete transparency and reporting on departmental KPI’s.
• Supervise and train operators and support department personnel as needed.
• Perform disciplinary action as needed, according to Human Resources guidelines.
• Support and nurture an environment of teamwork within the departments.
• Work with other departments to ensure sustainable success.
• Occasional weekend and / or after hours work to support the teams.
• Ensure that teams are working safely to eliminate any possible injuries.

III. Essential Skills

This position actively engages in daily operations and is engaged in cross-functional management teams to develop and support policies and procedures in accordance with the company Vision, Values and Strategic Objectives. In addition, good oral and written communication skills, computer literacy, strong leadership skills, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively work with and direct a team environment are critical.

Education Level :

High School Diploma or GED

Related Experience :

IV. Physical and Mental Requirements

This position requires physical and mental alertness, attentiveness and stamina for the length of an entire 8-12 hour work shift each day. Occasional to frequent lifting of 50-100 pounds, frequent changing from a seated to standing position and occasional to frequent stair climbing are all physical demands of this position. This working environment for this position will include occasional to frequent work in both extreme cold and hot weather conditions.
