Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Supervisor to lead and coordinate fabrication operations in an Engineer-to-Order (ETO) manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custom fabrication, production planning, and team leadership, with the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and drive high-quality, on-time output. This role requires an experienced supervisor skilled in managing large teams, with a proven track record of team development and performance.
Schedule : 5 : 45 AM – 2 : 00 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of fabrication teams, including welders, plumbing, electrical technicians, and assemblers.
- Interpret engineering drawings (P&ID), blueprints, and technical specifications for custom-built products.
- Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to resolve design and production issues.
- Monitor and optimize workflow, material usage, and labor efficiency.
- Train, mentor, and coach team members on fabrication techniques, safety practices, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate production records and generate performance reports for management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing principles.
- Be present on the production floor approximately 90% of the time, actively guiding and coaching team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of supervisory experience in fabrication or manufacturing.Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, including welding, cutting, forming, and machining.Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with ERP systems and production planning tools.Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards.Preferred Skills
Proven leadership with a track record of driving team performance, accountability, and morale.Hands-on, approachable leadership style; comfortable working alongside team members on the floor.Proficient in interpreting P&IDs and complex fabrication schematics.Working knowledge of PVC gluing, conduit bending, and light electrical assembly.Experience applying lean manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma principles in production settings.Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and developing direct labor team members.Working knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to support planning and troubleshooting.Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with planning, engineering, and quality teams.Ability to use metrics and KPIs to drive workflow improvements and efficiency.Seniority level
