Building Mechanical Engineer

Detailed Description :

The successful candidate will support projects locally, regionally, and nationally and will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be highly organized and responsive, capable of working in a diverse team environment, and able to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities. Responsibilities may include :

• Interact directly with Portfolio Design Managers, Portfolio Discipline Leaders and Local Leaders to determine project staffing and availability.
• Perform engineering design work with the building mechanical group.
• Work on engineering designs preparing reports, construction plans, specifications, calculations, equipment selection, and cost estimates for various projects.
• Check performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspection and testing.
• Assist with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables.
• Assist with studies, permitting and alternative analysis.
• Prepare and review technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents and deliverables.
• Coordinate and communicate with others on projects to ensure proper and timely execution of the work.
• Participate in BC's QA / QC process.
• Knowledge of piping and ductwork layout and design of 3D piping systems.
• Duties may also include field activities such as site investigations.
• Data collection, manipulation, analysis, and documentation.
• Manage and review work of external partners.
• Willing to occasionally travel to project sites (less than 10% expected).

Salary Range : The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.

Location A : $97,000 -$132,000

Location B : $106,000 - $145,000
