Job Title : Purchasing Clerk

General Position Expectations

SUMMARY :
Under minimal supervision, this position will perform administrative and clerical duties for the department and will play a vital role in the innovation, growth, and cost-savings of the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
Organize existing data and spreadsheetsoperate common office equipment like computers, scanners and printersAssist with quaarterly / year end inventorytrack incoming oreders and ensure timely deliveryenter order details(vendors, quantities, price changes) into internal databasecreate and maintain good relationships with key suppliersPrepare reports on purchase productsrecieve material in Navision databaseSet up new vendors / inventory parts in the ordering systemReconcile inventory countsOther duties assigned by managerCompetencies :
Comprehension of safety practices and proceduresAdhere to the Champion Operating PrinciplesMust be proficient in Microsoft office(Excel,Word)Must have strong analytical skills and be capable of interpreting data and informationMust be able to exercise independent judgement or adopt or modify methods and standards to meet assigned duties / objectivesMust have strong interpersonal skillsMust be able to prioritize tasks and follow through with requests for assistanceMust have strong attention to detailIdeal Qualifications :
High school diploma or GED preferredManufactured housing industry experience preferredpurchasing or material handeling experience desiredShipping / Receiving experience desiredFamiliarity with Supply Chain and inventory management systems desiredPhysical Demands :
The employee may occasionally lift and / or move up to 40-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the dutiesof this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk.
