Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Safety Engineer II / III in Las Vegas, NV.

The Safety Engineer II / III will report to the Health and Safety Manager and provide technical expertise, leadership and management to the Health and Safety organization.

General Responsibilities and Knowledge Skills :

• Under supervision provides skill and ability to perform tasks.
• Ability to perform tasks and oversight involving safety and health with knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, procedures and reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of construction safety, drilling operations, electrical safety, driving safety, and the DOE Integrated Safety Management System.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at various levels.
• Level of language skills, mathematical skills, communication skills, reasoning ability and computer skills necessary to perform essential functions of the job.
• Demonstrated ability to perform substantially varied duties.
• Demonstrated ability to handle the issues and questions from field personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to execute procedures and processes as necessary to perform tasks.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Must be able to complete and maintain all training and qualifications required for the position.
