About The Position

Job Title : SPT / Endoscopy Reprocessing Technician – 8 HR Days

Contract Length : 13 Weeks

Location : Hendersonville, NC

Schedule : 8-hour day shifts (08 : 30–17 : 00), Monday–Friday

Position Summary :

Hospital is seeking an experienced  Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) / Endoscopy Reprocessing Tech for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in manual reprocessing of flexible endoscopes and be familiar with Medivator and Pentax systems. This position is critical to supporting a variety of endoscopic procedures by ensuring the safe, effective reprocessing of scopes and instruments.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform manual cleaning and high-level disinfection of flexible endoscopes using Medivator and Pentax systems.

Ensure all equipment is processed according to manufacturer and infection control standards.

Support procedure readiness for :

Colonoscopy

EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)

Bronchoscopy

EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound)

ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography)

Maintain documentation and quality control logs for all reprocessing activities.

Collaborate with operating room leadership and follow established protocols and safety procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the Endoscopy suite.

Requirements :

Education : High School Diploma or equivalent.

Certifications (Required) :

CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) or

CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician)

Experience :

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an endoscopy tech

At least 1 successful travel assignment in a similar role

Technical Skills :

Proficient in manual reprocessing of flexible endoscopes

Experience with Medivator and Pentax systems preferred
