A well-respected firm is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join its busy litigation practice on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending complex civil matters and managing cases independently from inception through resolution.
Responsibilities :
Handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Draft and argue motions, attend hearings, and participate in depositions and mediations.
Develop case strategy, evaluate claims, and provide detailed reporting to clients and carriers.
Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure timely and accurate case management.
Maintain compliance with firm and client billing guidelines.
Qualifications :
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar (additional states a plus).
3-7 years of insurance defense experience handling general liability, auto, premises, or professional liability cases.
Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Strong communication, organization, and time management abilities.
Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
