Location : Milwaukee, WI 53227

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (with possible extension to 16-20 weeks)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1720-$1840

Employment Type : Travel Nurse, On-Site

Start Date : November 17, 2025

Holiday Shifts : Required

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Wisconsin or compact state)

BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg bedside clinical experience (2 years preferred)

Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Experience in travel nursing or clinical support roles is a plus

Med / Surg Nurse Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission and develop individualized care plans

Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Supervise and provide direction to Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees

Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and interdisciplinary healthcare team conferences

Initiate discharge planning and patient / family education from admission

Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly

Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and safety protocols

Support a positive work environment through teamwork, effective communication, and unit goal achievement

Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation

Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education for nursing jobs
