Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate and expert care to mothers and newborns in a high-acuity hospital environment. The RN will support patients through all stages of childbirth — from admission to delivery and recovery — while ensuring safety, comfort, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.

Monitor fetal heart rate, maternal vital signs, and labor progress using advanced monitoring equipment.

Administer prescribed medications and assist in labor induction, pain management, and epidural procedures.

Support physicians and midwives during vaginal and cesarean deliveries.

Manage emergencies including postpartum hemorrhage, preeclampsia, or fetal distress.

Educate mothers and families on post-delivery care, breastfeeding, and newborn health.

Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in accordance with hospital policies.

Required Qualifications :

Active California RN License (unrestricted).

Minimum 1 year of recent full-time L&D experience within the last 3 years.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Certifications :

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

AWHONN Fetal Monitoring

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field.

Experience working in high-risk obstetric environments.

5+ years of recent L&D experience highly preferred.
