Responsibilities

  • Ensures team is adhering to the facility policies and procedures as it relates to safety and quality.
  • Conducts shift start up meetings.
  • Overall responsible for shipping and receiving of work and delivery of materials to production assets.
  • Operates forklift equipment safely.
  • Sets goals / activities for teams.
  • Prepares and conducts performance reviews.
  • Conducts and reports accurate incident / accident investigations.
  • Performs daily Leader Standard Work (LSW) checks.
  • Motivates and recognizes Team Members for positive efforts.
  • Prepares, documents and administers progressive disciplinary actions.
  • Completes data entry in various software programs.
  • Completes clerical duties as assigned.
  • Resolves on-shift personnel issues and arranges vacation requests, leaves, shift swaps, etc.
  • Communicates directly with customer inventory, quality and production leadership.
  • Reviews and resolves issues involving onsite trucking drivers, carriers, waste management services, and vendors.
  • Provides daily updates to Operations Manager concerning logistics, productions and operational issues.
  • Performs any additional duties assigned by management and required by customers.
  • Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts and adherence to safety and security standards.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Attendance - Ability to work required schedule and arrive on time; ability to flex schedule to interact with all shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays); ability to work 12-hour shift rotations.
  • Communication - Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally; follow verbal and written instructions; select appropriate communication methods.
  • Mathematics - Ability to perform basic math and compute rate, ratio, and percent; interpret graphs.
  • Language - Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.

  • Relationship Building - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co-workers and management.

  • Education : High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience : One (1) year in warehouse or manufacturing environment; previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Computer Skills : Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and general computer / tablet usage.
  • Certificates and Licenses : Forklift Certification.
