Facilities Engineer

Position :

• Facilities Engineer Reports To : Director of Engineering Coreshell 's metallurgical Silicon anode technology delivers high capacity, fast-charging, and superior safety.
• Our low-cost liquid-phase nano-coating addresses critical electrode-surface degradation issues and enables batteries with a Silicon-dominant anode that have higher energy density, superior intrinsic thermal safety, and significantly lower cost / kWh compared to current LIBs.
• Our Si anode material is 50% the cost of graphite and 100% domestically sourced.
• We strive to transform the global automotive market by enabling low-cost and long-range EVs as a first step towards net-zero sustainability.

Core Responsibilities :

95% equipment uptime targets Design and oversee implementation of spare parts optimization strategies based on risk assessment and business impact analysis Direct the development and implementation of chemical inventory management systems and hazardous waste compliance programs Make independent decisions on waste disposal strategies, and regulatory compliance approaches Serve as management's representative for regulatory inspections and audits, with authority to implement corrective actions Oversee strategic planning for laboratory facilities, making recommendations on capital improvements and infrastructure investments Negotiate and manage relationships with landlords, contractors, and service providers, with authority to approve expenditures within defined budgets Develop long-term facilities optimization strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives Serve as the senior technical advisor to executive leadership on laboratory capabilities and limitations Develop and present monthly executive reports on operational KPIs, making strategic recommendations for continuous improvement Required Experience and Skills : AS or BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or equivalent military / industry training. 3 to 7 + years maintaining complex R&D or pilot ‑ scale equipment in battery, semiconductor, pharma, chemical or other high ‑ hazard environments Strong diagnostic chops spanning a wide variety of tools, from electrical faults to leaky Swagelok fittings.
