Facilities Manager

Position Summary :

This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships between supplier / service vendors, maximizing an employee safe work environment and containing costs, and functioning as a liaison with management, vendors, and operations team. This role will oversee assigned facilities including maintenance, security, planning, construction, budget, and operations equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Staff Management :

  • Hire, train, direct and coach assigned facilities staff; set performance goals and regularly evaluate performance using company approved processes
  • Assign, oversee and manage daily tasks to ensure balance and applicability as well as timely and accurate completion of all projects.

Equipment Maintenance / Project Management :

  • Assist management with day-to-day operations and projects as needed
  • Assist in managing project teams including electrical, mechanical, and all trades of construction process to ensure mechanical installations meet company specifications and project schedules
  • Assist with reviewing construction drawings, specifications, proposal and bids, compile documentation
  • Manage all vendor activity in compliance with company policies including selection, contract management, onboarding, and performance ensuring compliance with project objectives and contractual obligations while maintaining positive and productive vendor relationships
  • Manage all equipment maintenance contracts and schedules to ensure continuous performance as well as product lifecycle management and replacement costs
  • Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, audit, safety, environmental, building codes, ISO, ADA, OSHA
  • Assists with establishing and managing the financial expenditure budgets of the manufacturing facility
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Administrative Duties :

  • Create RFPs / RFQs / SOWs, monitor, and track all phases of projects / maintenance to ensure accurate receiving, invoicing, and payment
  • Assist management in budget development and maintenance of electronic files
  • Maintain, update, and publish facilities maintenance processes and procedures documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) :

    Experience / Education :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in the facilities field
  • Knowledgeable of local, state, and federal law codes
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with commercial building maintenance issues (3-5) years
  • Experience with Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems
  • Experience with vendor relationship management
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office
  • Preferred :

  • Facility Management Professional (FMP) credentials
  • Ability to work with Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) systems
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and space planning skills
  • Knowledge with HVAC, generator, and air compressors
  • Knowledge of systems furniture, space planning and installation
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills that lend to effective communications and leadership
  • Ability to work independently and to handle difficult situations effectively and tactfully
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Physical Demands and Work Environment

    Physical Demands Manufacturing Environment :

    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours a day. Position includes ability to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and pull / push; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for extended periods of time. The employee must lift and / or move up to 35 pounds without assistance (including ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs). Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Work Environment Manufacturing / Shop Environment :

    Includes a shop environment, with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to hazardous materials used during material prep process. PPE May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump-caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, & clean-room frocks while adhering to the prescribed safety procedures.

    The base pay is just one part of CelLink's total compensation package and is determined within a range. The pay range is designed to support your career progression as you learn, grow, and develop within your role. Your base pay range will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.     San Carlos, CA Base Pay

    $125,000 - $140,000 USD
