Facilities Manager
The Facilities Manager will lead and oversee the renovation and construction efforts of the company's office and manufacturing facilities to ensure they meet operational, code, and compliance standards. This role requires strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, electrical systems, and manufacturing infrastructure. The ideal candidate will coordinate contractors, manage timelines and budgets, and serve as the onsite lead during all phases of facility modification and site build-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end progress of office and manufacturing facility renovation projects
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure alignment with operational needs
- Monitor project progress, quality, timelines, and safety compliance
Code & Standards Compliance
Ensure all facility upgrades comply with local building codes, fire codes, ADA, electrical, and environmental regulationsAlign renovation projects with internal manufacturing standards, such as ESD control, workflow layout, and cleanroom readiness if applicableWork closely with regulatory bodies and internal teams to support inspections and permittingElectrical & Infrastructure Knowledge
Understand industrial electrical systems, power distribution, panel loads, and grounding requirementsProvide input on the design and installation of electrical systems to support manufacturing equipmentCoordinate installation and upgrades of utilities (power, HVAC, water, gas, etc.) based on facility needsProject Coordination & Stakeholder Communication
Maintain detailed construction schedules, coordinate project milestones, and mitigate risks or delaysCommunicate regularly with leadership on project status, budget updates, and facility readinessAct as the primary point of contact for all facility-related construction activity onsiteDocumentation & Vendor Management
Maintain accurate documentation including drawings, permits, inspection logs, and contractor agreementsSelect and manage contractors, vendors, and service providersEnsure contractor compliance with safety, quality, and contractual termsRequired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)5+ years of experience managing commercial or industrial renovation / construction projectsIn-depth understanding of construction codes, industrial building standards, and electrical systemsFamiliarity with OSHA, NFPA, local building inspection processes, and permittingStrong organizational and project management skills with a hands-on, solution-oriented mindsetPreferred Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment or factory build-outCertification in construction safety (e.g., OSHA 30)Proficiency in reading blueprints and facility layout diagramsFamiliarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, AutoCAD)Working Conditions
