The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location(s) : Columbus : Three Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215. Work schedule : 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

We're seeking a driven and dynamic individual with strong phone communication skills and a passion for sales. In this role, you'll engage directly with financial advisors, building relationships and driving business in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

What you'll do :

• Interact daily with advisors via phone to support sales efforts and deepen relationships.
• Contribute to a team responsible for over $2B in sales, working alongside 18 high-performing associates.
• Gain exposure to a wide range of responsibilities typically reserved for larger organizationsoffering a unique opportunity to broaden your skill set.
• Develop capabilities aligned with those of external wholesalers, preparing you for future advancement into an external sales role.

What we're looking for :

Must obtain SIE, Series 6 and 63 within 120 days of hire.

Job description summary :

Are you fascinated by the capital markets and driven to understand the investment side of the business? We sell solutions for Nationwide's Investment Management Group, including mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, to our institutional customers. If you can put your analytical, technical and customer service skills to work identifying and providing investment solutions to meet opportunities for growth, we want to know more about you!

As an Investment Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting sales across a defined geographic region. You will be tasked with supporting the overall sales process from start to finish and will be an integral part of the sales team, in driving lead generation, conducting investment analysis requests, scheduling meetings, and conducting meetings in your assigned region.

Key responsibilities :

Reporting relationships : Reports to Director, Institutional Sales.

Typical skills and experiences :

Education : Undergraduate studies in business administration or related field preferred. Participation in, or attainment of, technical coursework desirable.

Experience : Three years of related experience including, but not limited to, product plan administration and sales, customer service, sales consulting, relationship management, project management, communication and marketing.

Licenses / certifications / designations : FINRA Series 7 and 63 required.

Knowledge, abilities and skills : Marketing techniques and approaches, systems analysis and project management.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence. Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and HR Business Partner.
