As a Supervisory Operations Support Specialist, you will oversee Operations Support Specialists who provide technical assistance to district and field managers and staff on a wide variety of administrative functions in support of the USCIS mission.

Organizational Location : This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, within District 33 and are assigned based on the need of the agency. Provides supervisory, technical, and administrative direction to a team of Operations Support Specialists that are responsible for providing a variety of management services, advice, and guidance essential to the direction and operations of USCIS. Anticipates problems that evolve from the complex and dynamic nature of organizations served, and provides solutions that accommodate needs without compromising guiding management principles, effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. Evaluates and monitors communication and information sharing processes, recommends appropriate changes to policy, and assists in the coordination of liaison activities related to administrative functions within the District. Provides advice and guidance directly to district leadership, operational managers, and incumbents on complex and difficult issues. Recommends innovative methods and strategies to resolve issues. Carries out EEO policies and program activities, employee discipline, resolves complaints and grievances not requiring referral to a higher authority and makes recommendations for solution of those referred to the next higher organizational level.

Supervisory / Managerial Probationary Period : You may be required to serve a twelve-month probationary period upon appointment to this position. Qualifications The qualifications for this position must be met by 11 : 59 PM (Eastern Time) on 11 / 28 / 2025. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.
