Accounting Clerk
Robert Half is searching for an efficient Accounting Clerk for a well-known organization in the Construction / Contractor industry.
In this position, your responsibilities will include matching invoices to purchase orders and / or vouchers, performing data entry tasks and supporting the process of Accounts Payable (A / P) and Accounts Receivable (A / R).

This permanent Accounting Clerk position is located in the Campbell, California, area.
Key responsibilities
- Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
- Perform general accounting tasks, such as G / L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
- Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts
- Process daily invoices / credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable
- Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A / P invoice matching & filing
- Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
- Use a variety of sources to prepare statements and reports
- Manually or electronically post financial information
