Job Overview :
As a Scrum Master you will be responsible for enabling local teams of engineers and business developers to evolve their Agile way of working, help them to master Agile (Scrum) practices, mature their productivity, and become more predictable in their product delivery. You will work proactively with key stakeholders to understand their needs and encourage them to continuously interact with the Product Owners (challenge priorities, inspect deliveries, etc). While also acting as the USA regional ambassador with peers in Amsterdam and Sydney to guide the IT department to the next maturity level in the Agile way of working. This position is based in our Chicago office and requires a minimum of 3 days per week onsite. Due to the global nature of the role, business need will sometimes warrant availability outside of normal business hours.
Job Responsibilities :
- Drive the Agile way of working regionally by sharing knowledge, skills and best practice
- Act as a regional ambassador to global counterparts and stakeholders
- Ensure the team events are held and have a clear purpose and outcome
- Build a supportive culture and safe environment within the teams; understanding the barriers to motivation and finding ways to overcome them
- Coach the team and individuals for improvements in how they apply Agile values, principles and practices
- Focus the team on continuous improvement with feedback loops for ways of working and value delivered
Job Requirements :
8+ years total experience, with a minimum of 5+ years Scrum Master role for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theoryScrum certifications (CSM, PSM?I / II)Demonstrable experience of working with remote and hybrid teamsSkills and knowledge of coaching, facilitation and conflict resolutionAbility to work onsite in the Chicago office a minimum of 3 days per weekAnnual base salary, not including discretionary bonus eligibility : $145,000+
