Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide specialized instruction as a Special Education Teacher supporting middle school students with emotional and behavioral challenges affecting their participation in the general curriculum. The role requires adapting teaching methods and schedules to meet individual student needs within a flexible framework.

Location : Glen Allen, VA

Position Type : Contract, Non-School Year (NSY)

Duration : August 19 to May 30

Working Hours : 7.25 hours per day, 5 days per week

Caseload : Approximately 6 students at one school site

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students with emotional and behavioral difficulties
• Collaborate with general education staff to support student inclusion and participation
• Adapt schedules and teaching strategies to align with student needs and promote positive engagement
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of interventions and outcomes
• Support the social and emotional development of students through behavior management and counseling techniques
