We offer : Health, Vision, Dental, AD&D, Life and Affleck Insurances A flexible schedule Professional mentorship and opportunities to advance your career 401(k) Paid Time Off Position Summary : The Therapist, Licensed provides direct clinical services, and manages service delivery for a specific market in alignment with the overall strategy of the Program.

Plans and manages the delivery of community-based mental health services in the market. In close collaboration with the Program CEO and Clinical Director, manages team in accordance with Georgia Department of Mental Health regulations and guidelines.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable) : Education : Masters Degree in Human Services field and approved Georgia licensure as Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist is required.

Work experience : A minimum of 1 year of post-graduate experience in Mental Health / Developmental Disability / Substance Abuse with targeted population.

Demonstrated experience in the management and delivery of mental health services including therapy, individual and group counseling and behavioral intervention required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : Demonstrated knowledge and expertise pertinent psychosocial principles and family dynamic development.

Ability to guide and train employees. Ability to assess and observe clients in order to provide appropriate treatment. Ability to relate positively with persons with disabilities, family member, co-workers, community agencies, etc.

Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to use computer for work related task. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written form.

Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Travel Requirements : Travel is required to residential, school, workplace, and community settings.

Valid GA driver’s license and proof of personal vehicle insurance coverage. Essential Job Duties and Percent of time : Provides vision, leadership and inspiration in planning, and managing comprehensive alcohol, drug, and mental health systems of care, including but not limited to : alcohol, drug, and mental health programs for children and adults;

multi-agency, collocated collaborative programs; emergency and crisis services, mental health services; prevention; and community education.

  • 20% Applies a working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, psychiatric therapeutic guidelines and techniques pertinent to the delivery of mental health services;
  • monitors procedures and documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance; prepares or maintains reports for management and / or responds to inquiries from government agencies;
  • tracks and documents information as per the guidelines of governing bodies. - 20% Interfaces with Agency and community programs and facilitates and / or participates in several different meetings both within the Agency and the mental health community;

maintains liaison with federal, state, and local public and private agencies and individuals, and integrates the Agency’s activities with those involved in related services.

  • Administers public relations and educational programs to promote awareness and understanding of the Agency’s services; addresses community groups and other organizations interested in the Agency and / or mental health issues;
  • attends conferences to maintain knowledge of professional trends and practices. - 15% Develops programs and adheres to established policies and procedures;
  • ensures that treatment models and systems of care are implemented in ways consistent with the requirements of Agency, government regulatory agencies, and available funding streams;
  • assures departmental compliance with federal and state program and treatment standards; coordinates and implements training programs;

investigates service and client complaints and grievances and responds with appropriate corrective action. - 15% Completes Diagnostic Assessments to verify a client’s diagnosis for treatment and to conduct Behavioral Health Assessments for clients who are being discharged from a mental health hospital.

  • 10% Provides administrative oversight including case management and case documentation; ensures compliance with all Agency policies and procedures and State regulations.
  • 10% Implements various mental health treatment methods and client service management for both youth and adult clients under the auspices of Community Support Services.
