Health Education Coordinator II
Job Description
The Health Education Coordinator II functions as a liaison and facilitator between the clinics, the Health Education staff and providers.
The Health Education Coordinator II performs clinical and administrative service for the management staff. The Health Education Coordinator II must maintain a professional, positive, and caring attitude at all times.
Summary of Duties :
- Smiles and makes eye contact when greeting patients and other customers.
- Demonstrate care, concern, and courtesy when interacting with all internal and external customers.
- Displays warm and pleasant personality, emphasizing tact, empathy, and patience.
- Is sensitive to the patient's condition when obtaining information, assuring maximum confidentiality.
- Perform clerical tasks.
- Assist in compiling and generating reports as needed.
- Order departmental supplies.
- Stock and maintain educational materials for the department.
- Update and maintain referral log and other tracking tools.
- Answers, routes, records, and handles phone calls for the Health Education Department.
- Schedules patients for appropriate Health Education class / classes of individual appointment.
- Make appointment confirmation calls.
- Enter appropriate documentation in patient's EMR.
- Assist with room set-up for classes as assigned.
- Organize and maintain supplies for community events.
- Attend community events as needed.
- Work a flexible work schedule.
- Follow and adhere to HDMG's standards of attendance policy, as it is critical for providing timely education to HDMG members.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $40,705.60 - $54,288.00 / year, non-exempt;
however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.

If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department / team performance, and market factors.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate from an accredited school for Medical Assisting preferred.
- Current CMA preferred.
- Current CPR BLS certified.
- Bilingual Spanish required.
- Ability to type at least 25 words per minute with accuracy on a computer.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize a multitude of assignments, meeting all given deadlines.
- Knowledge of correct punctuation, grammar, and spelling.
- Ability to work in a multi-task, high productive environment.
