We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Big Data Engineer to spearhead the development and maintenance of our global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) application. This role requires a strong technical background in Ab Initio, Spark, Scala, and other Big Data technologies, along with proven leadership and mentoring skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about staying current with technological advancements, including AI, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience with Ab Initio, Talend, and Oracle is a plus.

Responsibilities :

• Lead a global team of developers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying the AML application.
• Provide deep technical expertise in Spark, Scala, and other Big Data technologies.
• Mentor and guide global teams on technical frameworks and best practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies, including AI / ML, and explore their potential applications in AML.
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of technical frameworks for AML application development.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different geographical locations and functional areas.
• Ensure optimal performance and scalability of the AML application.
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to AML application development.
• Drive innovation and explore new approaches to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of AML processes.
• Assess risk when business decisions are made, with emphasis on safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, applying sound ethical judgment, escalating and reporting control issues with transparency, and creating accountability where standards are not maintained.
