Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position in a progressive care unit, requiring a CA RN license and ACLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Med / Surg Tele unit within an acute care hospital
  • Progressive care unit (PCU) located on the 9th floor
  • Night shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30
  • Every other weekend coverage required
  • May float within scope of practice to other units and to other campuses such as Rehab Units as needed
  • A shuttle is provided when floating to other campuses
  • Epic EMR experience is preferred
  • Responsible for comprehensive assessment, coordination, and evaluation of patient care in an acute setting
  • Provides direct patient care, education, and ensures effective care transitions
  • Collaborates closely with physicians, peers, and healthcare teams to deliver patient-centered care
  • Supports and mentors newly hired and student nursing staff as assigned
  • Completion of orientation modules required, with some hours dedicated to e-learning
  • Only one holiday RTO (requested time off) will be approved during the contract

  • Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration
  • ACLS and BLS certifications, with American Heart Association credentials required and in hand
  • Minimum two years of recent Med / Surg Tele RN experience required
  • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Return staff must have been gone at least one year before returning as a traveler
