Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of hospital experience and an active Nevada OT license for an inpatient role serving a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
Work in an inpatient hospital settingDay shift schedule, Tuesday through Saturday, from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM13-week contract assignmentRole involves evaluating and treating behavioral health patients as neededMust live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligibleConduct comprehensive OT evaluations and develop individualized, age-appropriate treatment plansDocument patient assessment and progress accuratelyParticipate as a member of an interdisciplinary care teamCandidates must be adaptive to new and changing assignmentsReferences from two managers or supervisors from the past 12 months are preferred, with at least one from the most recent employerCandidates must provide a US Social Security Number for considerationRequirements
Active Occupational Therapist (OTR) license in Nevada required if applicableBachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an A.O.T.A. accredited program required, Master's degree highly desiredMinimum of 2 years recent hospital-based OT experience in the United StatesCurrent BLS certification from AHA requiredAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writingWillingness to work with behavioral health patientsCPI certification mandated by the positionBenefits
