SUMMARY
2ND SHIFT position in shipping, responsible for removing products from inventory to fill customer orders and packaging outgoing shipments to customers. Training is on 1ST SHIFT for approximately 4-6 weeks, then move to 2ND SHIFT.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Comply with and adhere to applicable safety and work rules and requirements
- Work independently and with other members of the department to fill customer orders
- Pull parts identified on ship lists for customer orders
- Pack parts to reduce possibility of moving or breakage during transit
- Fill out in-plant requisitions for shipping supplies and give to Shipping Supervisor
- Complete all required paperwork
- Accurately prepare hazardous items for shipping (i.e., complete paperwork and apply appropriate stickers to shipping containers)
- Use computer to enter FedEx and UPS information for ground shipments
- Help load trucks
- Move inventory to maintain organized work space, primarily using arms and pallet jack; occasionally a forklift may be required
- Maintain clean and safe working environments in assigned areas
- Comply with and adhere to all applicable ISO standards
- Performs other duties as assigned

Ability to work at heights to retrieve product using mobile stairs and aerial liftStrong hand-eye coordinationContinuous use of hands for grasping, pinching, folding cardboard, and carryingGood spatial awareness (i.e., awareness of objects in the space around you and awareness of your body’s position in that space)Good manual dexterity, with ability to use hand tools such as industrial stapler, utility knife, pliers, and hammerAbility to bend or squat to retrieve product below waist-level, and to reach to retrieve product overheadAbility to operate equipment such as bander and pallet jackAbility to obtain company certification for powered industrial trucks and aerial lift and then use these vehicles to retrieve and move productAbility to engage in medium-high repetition of tasks at a medium-high paceCan tolerate production environment that is not climate controlled and can be noisyUse of personal protective equipment as directedAbility to stand for up to 10 hours per dayAbility to lift up to 50 pounds alone; 100 pounds with a co-workerREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS
