Senior Quality Systems & Compliance Lead (Automotive Coatings)
Imagine your day at NPAA : You start by reviewing the internal audit calendar across multiple sites, confirming a registrar audit schedule, and scanning overnight updates from a supplier audit you coordinated with Purchasing. By mid-morning, you’re fine-tuning a revised SOP for the Quality Management System, then leading a quick huddle to train new hires and QA specialists on the latest IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 requirements. After lunch, you close out corrective actions from a sample audit, log calibration records, and plan the next round of MSA (GR&R) evaluations. You wrap up by compiling the monthly report—capturing audit findings and corrective actions, the IATF / ISO audit schedule, and formal audit summaries—before heading to a company event that celebrates team wins.
What you’ll lead
- Ensure processes and products at your assigned site comply with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Upgrade, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) : draft new procedures, revise existing SOPs, and train employees for proper adoption; support other departments with SOP updates.
- Own NPAA’s internal audit program and coordinate external audits with customers and third-party certification / regulatory bodies : schedule internal audits and registrar visits; conduct or manage sample audits; report audit findings; support corrective and preventive actions; and train internal auditors on NPAA Quality Systems.
- Partner with Purchasing and other groups to support supplier audits; complete customer self-assessments and audit surveys; assist with customer-requested and special audits at your site; support other corporate / plant audits as needed.
- Drive site compliance projects : manage calibration activities and records; oversee document control; lead or assist with MSA (GR&R) on inspection methods; and support FMEA, APQP, and PPAP.
- Represent Quality on cross-functional Quality Improvement Teams and perform other related duties as assigned.
