Full-Time Patient Services Representative

UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics is hiring a full-time Patient Services Representative to support the office in Pittsburgh.
Weekend and evening availability required to support the hours of operation.
EPIC experience preferred.
Responsibilities :
Patient Interaction : Greet patients, assist with check-in, collect copayments, and update information.
Scheduling : Arrange follow-up appointments and connect patients to services.
Support : Help patients navigate the healthcare system and provide clear instructions.
Technology : Register patients in Biometrics and promote MyUPMC portal.
Financial Advocacy : Educate patients on financial responsibilities and connect them to resources.
Compliance : Verify insurance, obtain consent signatures, and follow HIPAA regulations.
Admin Tasks : Handle phone calls, scan records, and perform office duties.
Qualifications :
Education : Completion of high school or equivalent.
Experience with personal computer-based applications, various office equipment, and proficient typing skills preferred.
Two years of experience in a medical, billing, fiscal, or customer service role preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Prior experience with Medipac, Epic, or other health records systems preferred.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances :
Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73.
