Responsibilities :
Requirements :
Process semi-monthly payroll for over 100 employees across multiple states and entities.
Verify timesheets, calculate wages, and input data into the payroll system (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Gusto).
Ensure payroll transactions are processed efficiently and accurately. Know when to process corrections vs adjustments.
Handle tax and benefits deductions, garnishments, and other payroll-related adjustments.
Prepare and distribute payroll reports for finance and management.
Maintain and update employee payroll records.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, tax forms, and other payroll-related concerns.
Stay current with changes in state tax laws and payroll regulations.
Support audits and compliance activities related to payroll.
Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies.
Qualifications :
Education : Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.
Experience : 2+ years of payroll processing experience required.
Skills :
Proficiency with payroll software (Rippling) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of payroll tax and labor laws.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus.
