About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent experience (within the past 6 months)

License : Valid nursing license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS - AHA or APEX

Must-Have :

• Strong cardiac telemetry background with preference for 2 years of experience
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Experience in titrating cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters
• Capable of caring for patients with telemetry needs

Description :

This position requires telemetry skills.

The role involves caring for patients waiting for placement.

Nurses will manage primarily telemetry patients rather than medical-surgical patients.

The nurse must be able to decrease cardiac drips as needed.

The nurse will care for patients from the emergency department awaiting a bed.

May assist with vital signs, IV starts, and medication administration for ED patients.

Nurses will not be assigned as the primary RN for ED patient assignments.

The schedule includes four weekend shifts over a four-week period.

Two of the four major holidays must be worked.

First to float as needed to various units.

A dysrhythmia exam must be passed within 48 hours of the offer.

A pass / fail simulation lab will occur on the first day of orientation.

Cancellation of up to four shifts may happen during the assignment period.

The charting system used is Cerner.
