Staff Backend Engineer

A company is looking for a Staff / Principal Backend Engineer (Python Developer).

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to define and validate new features

Design and implement REST API endpoints and microservice endpoints using Python or Java

Mentor team members and participate in code reviews and deployments

Required Qualifications

At least 10 years of web development experience in Python (Java and / or Kotlin preferred)

Proficiency in SQL database design and interaction

Knowledge of RESTful API principles and conventions

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Experience with microservices and 3rd party API integrations is a plus
