School Counselor-2024/25 school year
Minimum 1+ years counselor experience required.
We're seeking a dedicated and empathetic School Counselor to join our team near Raytown,Missouri. As a certified counselor, you'll play a crucial role in empowering students to reach their full potential and navigate the challenges of adolescence.
Responsibilities :
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address academic, personal, and social concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success and well-being.
- Conduct assessments and develop personalized intervention plans for students experiencing academic or behavioral difficulties.
- Deliver comprehensive college and career readiness programming, including assistance with post-secondary planning, application processes, and financial aid.
- Facilitate workshops and presentations on topics relevant to adolescent development, mental health, and academic achievement.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications :
- Missouri certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or School Counselor.
- Master's degree in Counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience working with high school students in an educational or counseling setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of counseling techniques, assessment tools, and crisis intervention strategies.
- Commitment to professional development and adherence to ethical standards in counseling practice.
