Position Description :
The Leasing Agent is the first point of contact for prospective residents and plays a key role in presenting the property in a professional, engaging manner. This position is responsible for leasing apartments, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the overall operations of the leasing office. A forty hour work week plus overtime as needed. During lease up, Saturday availability is required.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Professionally respond to telephone inquiries from prospective residents, focusing on qualifying and setting appointments. Greet and qualify prospective residents. Conduct site tours by showing community, amenities, grounds, and targeted apartments and / or model. Actively ask for rental / close the lease. Inspect units to ensure that they are rent-ready.
- Follow policies and procedures regarding the qualifications and approval of applicant(s)
- Complete all lease paperwork accurately and ensure it is completed in a timely manner
- Prepare leasing documents and contracts and maintain accurate records of interactions and leases.
- Use Appfolio software to update availability and lease data
- Ensure leasing procedures comply with fair housing laws and property policies
- Follow up with prospects regularly and keep record of guest cards
- Move-in and move out inspections (as needed)
- Set up new properties into AppFolio (as needed)
and update properties as directed by the property manager (as needed)
Actively participate in the Resident Referral Program.Actively participate in Employer Referral Programs (hand out flyers, check in with locaters and other networking sources on a regular basis).Partner with marketing team to request changes to website, brochures, order promotional items, request changes to marketing items when needed review with Property Manager.Follow policies and procedures regarding the qualifications and approval of applicant(s)Airbnb :Assist with scheduling
