Accounting Supervisor

Buzzi Unicem USA, major US cement manufacturer, is looking for an Accounting Supervisor to join our team at our Stockertown, PA plant.

Responsibilities

Assist and perform the day-to-day functions of payroll, A / P and purchasing. Prepare and audit month-end production report.

Work with plant Office Manager to ensure the monthly closing activities and reporting are completed timely and accurately.

Maintain a high degree of accountability for all aspects of plant spending and reporting.

Prepare monthly forecast and budget comparisons for plant spending.

Analyze sub-ledgers including A / P, production & inventory, fixed assets, and CIP to ensure correct balances are maintained between sub-ledger and the G / L.

Work closely with Office Manager and other plant personnel to ensure proper coding of plant costs.

Special projects as assigned by both corporate and plant personnel.

Qualifications

BS in Accounting

2-4 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of Oracle Financial System or SAP is a plus

Proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to conveying accurate and appropriate information.

Ability to use good judgment when communicating with employees and customers, and to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
