Job Details

Litigator with experience in trust, estate and fiduciary litigation and commercial litigation. The position is ideal for a motivated attorney who has or wishes to develop a specialty in contested proceedings involving trusts, estates and guardianships including contested probate and administration proceedings, will construction proceedings, accounting proceedings, fiduciary removal proceedings and other sophisticated litigation involving a decedent’s affairs and business dealings.

Required credentials include :

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Admission to the New York State bar.

5-8 year experience including : taking and / or defending depositions; appearing in court; drafting pleadings, motions and related submissions, and discovery demands and responses; conducting legal research; and trial preparation.

preference will be given to candidates with meaningful experience litigating cases before both the Surrogate’s Court and the Supreme Court.

Estate planning and administration knowledge will be considered a plus.
