The Opportunity :

As a sof tware developer, you know that good sof tware is more than a nice-looking interface and data. You need the right combination of clean code, APIs, analytics, and infrastructure to help build a user-oriented solution.

We're looking for a sof tware developer like you to develop efficient and effective sof tware, from vision to production-ready system, in an exciting, agile environment.

As a sof tware developer at Booz Allen, you'll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and resources to overcome your clients' most difficult challenges.

You'll use your passion to master new tools and te chn iques while helping to identify and implement system improvements.

You'll collaborate with your team as you code and deliver solutions that support the architecture and operating environment, as well as support future functionality and enhancements.

You Have :

  • 2+ years of experience in sof tware development using basic programming languages, te chn ologies, tools, or web development stacks
  • Experience with data pipeline development at scale, including collection, ingestion and stream processing, storage, extract, transform, and load (ETL), compute andquerying, visualization, and analytics
  • Experience with database te chn ologies, including relational, columnar, andnosql,
  • Experience developing APIs at scale with parallel processing of gets and puts
  • Experience with native cloud computing te chn ologies or hybrid solutions, and storage te chn ology, including block storage and object storage
  • Experience supporting internal and external customers and their needs
  • Knowledge of programming in languages such as Python, and command languages such as Bash or PowerShell
  • Ability to write SQL DDL and DML
  • TS / SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have :

  • 2+ years of experience with Enterprise or Cloud IT
  • Experience with AWS services, including Amazon Aurora ( PostgreSQL ) , Amazon RedShift, AWS Lambda, Amazon Simple Storage Service ( S3 ) , Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon API Gateway, and Amazon Simple Queue Service ( SQS )
  • Experience building and deploying capabilities as Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) with AWS CDK or AWS CloudFormation
  • Experience using continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI / CD) workflows low to high across commer cia l and non-commer cia l AWS environments
  • Knowledge of architectural implications of meeting industry standards such as ICD 503, NIST 800-53, or FEDRAMP
  • Ability to lead effectively across organizations
  • Possession of strong verbal and written communications skills
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Data Analytics, or AWSCertified Database Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
