Manager, Men's Outlet Bags, Global Merchandising

Primary Purpose

The Manager, Men's Outlet Bags, Global Merchandising will be a key team member of the Coach Outlet Global Merchandising team, supporting the continued growth of Coach's Leather Goods business.

Product Strategy

  • Lead and communicate merchandising strategy for the Bags category within the Outlet channel. Leverage product opportunities and business initiatives across both domestic and international markets
  • Create relevant product assortments to drive the business
  • Partner with Design and Product Development throughout the entire conceptual and commercialization process to build an assortment that addresses both brand and customer needs
  • Partner with Business Unit teams to understand, influence, and drive business objectives / customer needs, and identify product opportunities.

Assortment Planning

  • Drive assortment style and delivery flow needs
  • Communicate changes and impacts cross-functionally in an effective manner
  • Ensure that corporate deadlines are met to deliver product on a timely basis
  • Partner with Global Planning teams to provide guidelines for both permanent and seasonal assortments
  • Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze sales on a weekly basis to gain comprehensive understanding of the state of the business. Provide global analysis that drives consensus
  • Identify product opportunities through regular hind-sighting that incorporates consumer research, business unit feedback, and sales performance analysis
  • Maintain updated knowledge of key competitor product, distribution, and pricing strategies
  • Manage retail price setting, target costs, and margin goals. Partner with Product Development team on costing objectives
  • Organization & Team

  • Create and foster a strong culture of learning and development for direct reports and team
  • Establish relationships with Design, Product Development, Global Merchandising Planning, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing
  • Create partnerships with key Global Merchandising peers and Business Unit buyers

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years merchandising / buying experience in related business or brand with demonstrated product development experience, preferably in a vertical retail environment Women's experience a plus
  • 2 years people management experience preferred

    BASE PAY RANGE $90,000.00 TO $100,000.00 Annually
