You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Within AIS and Data Center Engineering, the Mechanical Products and Services team is driving rapid innovation in mechanical cooling and controls systems used by AWS.
Key job responsibilities
A day in the life
A Principal Mechanical Engineer for Air‑Cooled Solutions works closely with key partners to innovate, create, manage, and support the complete lifecycle of our air‑cooled infrastructure portfolio. This role collaborates with internal and external partner teams to ensure products and solutions perform as intended. The Principal, Mechanical Engineering role will work closely with mechanical engineers to identify and mitigate design issues and build infrastructure strategies to execute at scale.
About the team
The Mechanical Products & Services team provides engineering expertise and design and product lifecycle support for mechanical equipment in data centers globally. This includes support for new products and design features that address the mechanical cooling systems included in data center deployments. We own and support mechanical products throughout their lifecycle and undertake global scale remediation strategies and business improvement initiatives.
