AP FinOP Analyst
Chowbus is hiring a diversified analyst that can make an impact on both the Accounting and Finance functions within the Finance team. This role will support the overall Account Payable function. The ideal candidate will have a diversified financial experience with more specific technical experiences in accounting and finance operations. We are growing, and as Chowbus scales, there is room to grow into either finance discipline. Looking for a detail-oriented, Excel rockstar, and prefer start-up experience with exposure to SaaS and / or a high-transaction fintech environment.
Accounting Responsibilities (Reporting to Senior Accountant)
- Process vendor invoices in accounts payable software, Ramp.
- Review and approve employee expense reports in compliance with our T&E policy.
- Maintain vendor records, including acquiring contracts, W-9s / W-8s and bank details for onboarding.
- Support with annual audit process and year end 1099 issuance.
- Assist with month end closing procedures and any ad hoc AP tasks / projects.
FinOps Responsibilities (Reporting to CFO)
This role is critical in ensuring effective revenue and cost optimization, vendor management, and operational efficiency across the organization.The specialist will act as a bridge between Finance and other cross functional groups to provide transparency, governance, and actionable insights on financial performance and internal compliance.Conduct revenue and expense assurance analysis of our customers and vendors to ensure internal policy, contract compliance and cash collections.Provide key information to auditors and implement process improvements to adhere to reporting standards. Implement FinOps best practices to improve forecasting accuracy and cost accountability.Vendor & Contract Management and Support vendor evaluations, contract negotiations, and renewals.Maintain accurate records of contracts, terms, and financial obligations.Identify process gaps and implement improvements to increase financial efficiency and accuracy.What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CPA or CPA Progression preferredMinimum of 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting or a related fieldKnowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standardsProficiency with financial software and advanced Excel skillsKnowledge of NetSuite, Ramp, and / or Payment Service Providers an added bonusMandarin proficiency required, Cantonese preferredCompetencies
