Description
Has end-to-end responsibilities for products manufactured at all Panels sites in North America. The candidate will develop, educate, practice, and promote quality principles throughout the organization, and develop and lead the Quality team with accountability for all aspects of manufacturing quality (product disposition, material control, document control, etc.) and Quality Engineering. Will ensure compliance to the Company's quality systems and current regulations, as well as lead the development and implementation of prevention-based quality awareness and improvement programs.
Essential Functions
- Ensure the implementation and adherence to the AWIP QMS (Quality Management Systems) across the Division.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the organization to maximize the effectiveness of the Quality Management System on all sites.
- Play an integral part on the Operational Management team in managing warranties across the division.
- Take a leadership role in developing and implementing new techniques and initiatives to enhance the Quality Management System on all sites.
- Drive the requirement for the Divisional Quality team to strive for commonality and best practice across all sites.
- Manage and offer guidance to the Divisional Contracts Team to ensure Customer satisfaction to their complaint management
- Govern the administration and path to closure of all major complaints in the Division; this will involve the inclusion of the various departments and stakeholders.
- Liaise with key customers in initiating "Pre Project Management" meetings to ensure all project specifications / requirements are captured and delivered.
- Work with the Operations, Management, and Commercial teams in the different business units to ensure robust and timely root causes and corrective actions are applied to all customer complaints.
- Implement our SPC continuous improvement process, this is used to achieve the goals of reducing complaints and improving the cost base.
- Work with various cross-functional teams and departments, demonstrating leadership and support when managing all quality-related projects.
- Report weekly and monthly on Quality and Warranties performance across the Division.
- Champion the training of all employees in the use of continuous improvement methodologies such as problem-solving, process mapping, corrective action initiatives, and process / plant optimization.
- Member of the Compliance Team :
- Responsible for Product Compliance and maintaining compliance systems to ISO 37301 standard.
- Collaboratively review change requests, gather monthly reporting information, prepare for audits, deal with NCR’s, and identify areas of concern in relation to compliance.
- Complies with all safety and company policies and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to demonstrate successfully undertaken cross-functional projects, which have delivered benefits to an organization. Preferably black belt or green belt level projects.The individual should have experience working in a continuous production environment, be able to analyze problems, and communicate ideas in a clear and straightforward manner.Experience dealing with people at all different levels within an organization.Should have confidence in communicating objectives and be able to take responsibility for teams.The individual should be strongly results-oriented and persistent in achieving objectives.Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook.The POSITION is a member of the AWIP Compliance Team. The Compliance Team is responsible for the following :Responsible for Product Compliance and maintaining compliance systems to ISO 37301 standard.Collaboratively review change requests, gather monthly reporting information, prepare for audits, deal with NCR’s, and identify areas of concern in relation to compliance.Maintain compliance with regulations and third-party approvals.Create and maintain the Product Compliance Register (PCR).Monitor product performance.Ensure the different functional departments are prepared for audits.Aid the different functional departments in resolving non-conformances.Ensure no unsubstantiated claims are being made on the Company’s products.Salary based on experience
$130,000-$160,000Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.The ideal candidate should be trained in the use of modern continuous improvement techniques such as Six Sigma, SPC, and Problem-Solving Methodologies.Technical or engineering qualifications preferred.Experience in dealing with customer complaints.
