FERC Permitting Lead
We are seeking a FERC Permitting Specialist to lead efforts securing and maintaining environmental permits and regulatory approvals for key projects. You’ll work cross-functionally across engineering, legal, land, and operations to ensure compliance and enable safe, timely project execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead permitting for major capital projects including pipelines, processing facilities, terminals, and related infrastructure.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to satisfy requirements from agencies such as FERC, BLM, USACE, USFWS, BIA, and state regulators.
- Develop and implement permitting strategies that align stakeholders, meet budget and schedule targets.
- Ensure compliance during construction, manage environmental reporting, and maintain strong regulatory relationships.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.Minimum 8 years’ experience in environmental permitting and compliance, with increasing responsibility.Experience with federal / state / local environmental laws and regulations (NEPA, ESA, NHPA, CWA, etc.) and agencies such as USACE, USFWS, FERC.Required Skills
Strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Ability to work collaboratively across various teams.Preferred Skills
Experience with project management.Knowledge of environmental impact assessments.
