Electrical Drafter
Location : Virginia Beach, VA
Job Type : Direct Hire
Pay : Up to $35.00 / Hour (Depending on Experience)
Job Description :
The Electrical Drafter role is suited for a highly self-motivated individual who is ready to work in a fast-paced environment. The primary responsibility will be the creation & revision of electrical schematics, electrical bill of materials, and visual aided installation instructions.
Responsibilities
- Handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision.
- Create drawings and models from written and verbal specifications obtained from Engineers.
- Work with Engineers regarding accuracy, design, drafting standards and design documentation.
- Review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain all revisions of project drawings.
- Examine and check engineering drawings for compliance with cited specifications.
- Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.
- Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.
- Prepare engineering documents for customer submittal.
Qualifications
High proficiency in Solidworks ElectricalAutocad electrical experience preferredProficiency in basic electrical design / function preferredAbility to develop design layouts in 2D drawings (schematics)Knowledge of Microsoft Office ApplicationsAbility to work under pressure with deadlines while having to multi-task multiple prioritiesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailStrong work ethicAbility to work successfully and collaboratively with a teamAbility to read and understand electrical schematicsRequirements
Associate's degree in computer-aided drafting and design, engineering technology or similar technical degreeA minimum of two years' experienceKnowledge of electrical manufacturing processes and how it relates to designHands-on experience with 3D modeling tools such as Auto CAD and Inventor preferredWe may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses.
