About the Role
Were hiring a Head of Sales to lead Assort Healths go-to-market strategy with Americas largest health systems including multi-hospital IDNs, academic medical centers, and leading regional networks. This is a player-coach role : youll personally drive strategic enterprise cycles while building, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing Health Systems sales team. Youll navigate long, complex deals end-to-end mapping stakeholders across ambulatory operations, digital access, contact centers, IT / security, and service lines to land and expand seven-figure programs that redefine patient access through AI-driven automation. Youll be a key voice in shaping Assorts growth strategy, partnering closely with leadership, product, and solutions to ensure we deliver meaningful impact for health systems and their patients.
What youll do
Lead and scale the Health Systems segment set strategy, define targets, hire and coach enterprise sellers, and build repeatable success playbooks.
Personally own and close marquee enterprise deals with top-tier U.S. health systems (multi-hospital IDNs, AMCs, large regionals).
Navigate complex buying processes including RFIs / RFPs, value analysis committees, legal (BAA / DPA / MSA), compliance, and InfoSec / HIPAA / SOC 2 reviews.
Map and influence stakeholders across VP / Director of Patient Access, Contact Center leadership, Ambulatory Ops, CDO / CXO, CIO / CTO, CMIO, and service-line executives.
Build business cases that link patient access metrics (abandon %, ASA, wait times, leakage, show rate, FTEs) to financial and operational outcomes.
Orchestrate pilots and rollouts across service lines (ENT, Ortho, Cardiology, etc.), aligning success criteria, timelines, and executive reporting.
Refine GTM strategy pricing, packaging, and contracting for large health systems based on real-time market feedback.
Maintain a disciplined operating cadence : forecast accuracy, pipeline reviews, and exec-level account planning.
Serve as the executive face of Assort Health to provider partners, representing the company at industry events and with key health system decision-makers.
What You Bring
7+ years of experience in complex enterprise sales, with at least 3+ years selling into large U.S. health systems or IDNs.
Proven success closing 7-figure ACV deals and managing multi-year, multi-site rollouts across service lines.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop sales teams while personally owning strategic accounts and closing business.
Deep familiarity with hospital procurement, value analysis, and RFP processes.
Working knowledge of EHR and contact center ecosystems including Epic, Oracle Health / Cerner, athena, and telephony platforms (Genesys, NICE, Five9, Cisco).
Strong business acumen and the ability to tie access and call-center KPIs (ASA, AHT, containment, occupancy) to clinical and financial ROI.
Excellent executive presence and communication skills; confident engaging C-suite and Board-level stakeholders.
A builders mindset capable of operating in ambiguity, establishing new processes, and iterating quickly in a high-growth environment.
Nice to have
Existing executive relationships within major IDNs and AMCs.
Experience selling digital front door, access, automation, or AI solutions.
Background working with ambulatory operations, service-line leadership, or contact center transformation initiatives.
Exposure to GPOs, SIs, or channel partners in the provider ecosystem.
