Job description

The Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Banner University Medicine Tucson is seeking an exceptional Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon to become part of our thriving hand surgery practice. Make your mark at our cutting-edge, state-of-the-art hospital where innovation meets excellence in patient care. As part of our team, you'll receive a faculty appointment with the University of Arizona that reflects your experience and expertise, while contributing to the future of orthopedic surgery through teaching, research, and clinical excellence.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery : Hand
  • Fellowship Training
  • NIH Research funding is a plus

Job Details

  • 1.0 FTE | Clinic Days | Surgical Days
  • Elective & Trauma Hand Surgical Facilities
  • Teach and mentor students / residents / fellows
  • Research support for any NIH-funded candidates

    • Practice Profile

  • Department led by Dr. Elfar, who serves as Department Chair and is also a Hand and Upper Extremity surgeon
  • 22 Orthopedic Surgeons (including 4 Hand & Upper Extremity), Trauma, Foot & Ankle, Spine, Sports Medicine, Joint Replacement, and General Orthopaedics
  • 20 Orthopaedic residents, 2 Fellows (1 Hand & 1 Sports Med)
  • 10 APPs
  • Dedicated MA, casting support, and nurse navigator / educator for joint replacement
