As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, were looking for an experienced HUMAN RESOURCE and SAFETY MANAGER.
As the Human Resource and Safety Manager, you will be in a highly visible position that will have a significant impact on the performance and profitability of the business.
You will support hourly team members and salaried / hourly management / supervisory individuals encompassing a diverse range of disciplines.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
- The Human Resource and Safety Manager will have oversight responsibility for human resources and managing the human resources team.
- Areas of responsibility includes but are not limited to labor strategy and talent acquisition of both salary and hourly team members, employee relations, overseeing employee engagement, administration of onboarding, employee orientation, training, retention, employee systems and records, legal compliance, community outreach, payroll, and oversite for site safety program.
- Start-up experience is highly desirable, leading teams, and thorough knowledge of State and Federal laws.
- A minimum of five years of human resources experience with increasing supervisory responsibilities as well as prior leadership experience.
- The ideal candidate will be progressive minded leadership focused, developing teams that support our culture, results oriented, takes initiative, has drive to excel, and passionate about recruiting.
- Experience with UltiPro, Ultimate Software and / or UKG Pro applicant tracking systems is highly desirable.
- Partners with Plant Manager to ensure site and workforce are deployed to execute strategic priorities.
- Leads safety programs.
- Represents CLI in the community and fosters positive community relations.
- Leads and fosters diversity in the workplace.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or a related HR field required. MBA / MA, PHR or SPHR preferred.
- Versatility, flexibility, and ability to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Outstanding leadership, influence, and communication skills.
- High integrity.
- Experience and understanding of progressive disciplinary action process.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Oversee on-site Orientation and Training for all new hires.
- Understand and administer company policies in accordance with Federal, State and Local guidelines.
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
- Involved in Multi-disciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams that directly drives companys Continuous Improvement Process and Policies.
- Enforce company policies / procedures and corresponding work instructions.
Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Strong PC and Smartphone skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
