Bilingual Patient Service Specialist

Position : Bilingual Patient Service Specialist

Status : Full-Time

Pay Range : $17-19 hourly depending on experience

Location : 821 North Nellis Blvd Las Vegas, NV

Responsibilities

  • Greets patients with exceptional customer service to create a positive patient experience
  • Answers phone
  • Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients
  • Insurance verifications, referrals and pre-authorizations
  • Schedules patients appointments and checks them in at arrival
  • Collection of co-pays
  • Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
  • Patient intake and data entry to ensure proper billing
  • Complete daily billing reports and work with central billing office (CBO)
  • Communication and teamwork with clinic staff as well as all supporting departments to create an enjoyable, seamless experience
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED is required
  • Bilingual in English / Spanish
  • Preferred Experience

  • Customer service experience required
  • Knowledge of insurance verification preferred
  • Healthcare, Medical, Dental office administration preferred
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach consistently throughout a work day / shift
  • Appropriate manual dexterity to enable typing (including 10-key) throughout a work day / shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs, safely, from ground to waist using proper body mechanics
  • Ability to carry office supplies up to 10lbs
  • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people and understand written direction
  • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions
