Personal Injury Paralegal

Location : Westbury, NY

Schedule : Full-time, onsite

Compensation : $70,000 - $75,000 Per Year

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal (Plaintiff Side). This role will provide critical support to attorneys throughout all stages of personal injury cases, from intake through settlement or trial.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and file legal documents such as complaints, discovery responses, subpoenas, motions, and settlement agreements.
Manage case files and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date.
Coordinate depositions, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and court appearances.
Request, analyze, and summarize medical records and billing statements.
Communicate with clients regularly to provide updates and obtain necessary information.
Monitor case deadlines and ensure all filings are completed in a timely manner.
Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and related materials for hearings and trials.
Assist in negotiating and finalizing lien resolutions and settlements.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a personal injury law firm.

Strong knowledge of personal injury litigation, legal procedures, and terminology.

Proficiency in legal case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with attorneys, clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel.

Paralegal certificate or associate's / bachelor's degree preferred.
