Per Diem Staff Requirements
Shift Minimums : Work at least two (2) 8-hour shifts per pay period, including two (2) weekend shifts per month (16 hours total per pay period). Weekend hours are defined as Friday 10 p.m. through Monday 6 a.m.Holiday Coverage : Work at least one (1) 8-hour shift per year on a minor holiday (Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day) and one (1) on a major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s).Education & Certifications : Maintain mandatory education requirements and a current BLS certification.Call-Out Make-Up Policy : If a per diem staff member calls out on a weekend, the shift must be made up within one month.Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality care to residents during evening hours and weekends.Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), administer medications, and monitor health.Ensure a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment for all residents.Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans.Requirements
Current LPN license in New York State.Compassionate, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.Experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.
